Hello 2022!

2021 has been a whirlwind of a year. There were so many ups, some lows, but all in all, it was a pretty great one for Graceful Leo. I was able to make some huge strides and purchase a Glowforge, which has allowed for some serious growth. I have also been able to watch my clientele grow tremendously with design work and see so many people recommend me. Sales and clientele are over triple of what I had this time last year, and just keeps growing more every day. A round this time last year, I was asked to join the Millie team. Now, I am being brought on for even more work with them in the new year. They have turned into a dream job and I love being a part of the team. It fits perfectly within my GLD schedule and I get to work with some amazing people!

With all the successes Graceful Leo had in 2021, there are some changes happening for me in 2022. With new things comes having to say goodbye to old things. After starting off as an intern in 2017, then keeping me on after graduation, I am saying goodbye to my position with Sodexo at the University of Central Missouri. It has been a great fill in, but with all the success of 2021, I know 2022 will bring even more and I feel it is my time to step away. I truly appreciate my time I had working for Sodexo and all the skills that I learned along the way. They have lined up a new hire to begin in January and I know he will do great.

I have a really good feeling about 2022. 2 is my lucky number, so I feel that it's only destined to be a great year. I have been shown so much love and support throughout this year and am truly thankful for those that continue to allow Graceful Leo to be a success. I literally couldn't do it without you.

Aside of business, my husband changed to a new position at work and gets to actually be in the court room. He gets to be a voice for those who feel like they don't have one and fight for justice as much as he can. He also went to Air Assault School and is officially Air Assault qualified - talk about a crazy couple of weeks! We added a new member to the family - Leia! Born on July 15, she is a heeler/Aussie mix, but the older she gets, the more she just looks like a heeler! Her personality grows more and more every day and we love her to pieces. Opry is still getting the hang of being a big brother, but I think he secretly likes having another pup to play with.

We are about half way through our time at Fort Campbell which doesn't seem possible. We have reached the stage where the friends that we have made are starting to move away and start new adventures - that's something you can't ever prepare for and will definitely take some getting used to (if that's even a thing)! Military life just feels like second nature now (once I was able to figure out what I was doing). We were fortunate to have friends stationed in Hawaii come visit us back in June. We were able to hit up Nashville and spend a couple days just catching up - it was so good to see them!

I was finally able to travel to California to see family and meet my nephew for the very first time back in July. It was the first time I had ever been to CA and it was definitely different! However, it was a great trip and I got to do a lot of sight seeing. If there's one thing I could bring back, I will take their weather any day!

Be on the look out for some new items coming to you in 2022! We're talking about new styles, new products, and even more custom pieces. I will be taking a break until January 3rd to relax, spend time with family and friends, and to really enjoy the holiday season, BUT will be ready to rock and roll once the new year hits.

I hope you are able to take some time off, too! If I have learned anything this year, it is that you can't pour from an empty cup. Take time for yourself and take care of yourself - get that pedicure, eat that ice cream, or simply take some time and read a book. It's okay to not be 100% everyday. You are only human and it gets hard, but I promise you that it's all worth it.

From my family to yours, I hope you have a very Merry Christmas, a Happy Holiday, and an amazing New Year.

Here's to 2022!
